RSYNC connection to Deltacopy Server
I am trying to setup a Backup job using RSYNC to pull data from a Windows 7-64 PC.
I can get the Deltacopy Client to push data to the NAS, but I can not get RSYNC to connect to the DeltaCopy server.
I have the Deltacopy server running on the PC and I have created a virtual directory called "Test". With the Deltacopy client I can connect and copy locally on the PC. I then try to create a backup job on my ReadyNAS Ultra. Remote RSYNC server as source and the PC's IP address as host. "Test connection" says "Succesfully connected to 192.168.1.7".. when I then specify the "Test" directory in Path (No "" and correct caption) and push "Test connection", I get "Error connecting to 192.168.1.7"
I have tried to disable PC firewall with no luck.. I had RSYNC transferring data from the shares on my old ReadyNAS Duo without problems.. Hope there is someone who can help a Newbie :)

- de_niroGuidesame result here,I've installed Deltacopy to my WIN7 laptop but it is unable to connect,but...I have another one XP machine with Deltacopy installed which without such problem.
- ahpsi1TutorI remember having trouble doing just this - I think in the end I had to create a local user account either on the PC or within DelatCopy (and checking 'use authentication').
I just tested it here and could reproduce your issue until I noted I hadn't actually created the 'Test' virtual directory. Once I stopped the service, double clicked on add directory and entered the path after restarting the service I was able to successfully connect to the VD.
Do you have anything in your 'DeltaService.log" file? - de_niroGuidehi there is a RSYNC tools which is much better than Deltacopy, the software name is QTDsync, you can download it from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtdsync ... ecommended
would you like to have this tools a try?I've tested it and saw very positive result.
