Hi all,
First time poster here. I have a customer who has 2 ReadyNAS rack mounted storage devices the ReadyNAS 2304 is doing a Volume Data level Rsync backup to a ReadyNas 2120. These backups have been running fine until the 2304 had a firmwre upgrade to version from 6.10.3 to 6.10.4. Since then the backups have not been working. The logs say successful but there is no new data being backed up and they complete in seconds.
I have tried creating a new share on the destination NAS and re-running but it only copies top level folders across, no subfolders or data. Interestingly, if i just backup one share it works fine, it just seems to be the volume data level backup that doesnt want to work.
Has anyone else seen this issue since upgrading to 6.10.4? Any suggestions please?

Re: ReadyNAS 2304 6.10.4 Firmware has broken Volume data Rsynch backups
thankyou, i didnt realise you could go back a level that way! From all the stuff i was reading it sounded like a Factory resert to downlevel Firmware! Cheers

Re: ReadyNAS 2304 6.10.4 Firmware has broken Volume data Rsynch backups
Typically, going back a major (first decimal place) update is not supported but a secondary (second decimal place) is. 6.10.4 to 6.10.3 is fine, but not to 6.9.6. You can actually go back to almost anything, but you may have to factory default or even do a USB restore for it to work. Some of the updates to the ARM systems that change uboot may be an exception.

Does anyone know if the issue is still in the 10.6.5 version of firmware?
