ReadyNAS Pro 4 — ERR: Could not properly extract

Hi Everyone,

i have recently replaced all 4 drives in my RN204 with WD red 3TB drives.  Somewhere in the chaos, things went south.  I am now getting the above message regarding can't properly extract and I am lost on this one.  Based on other discussions, I believe the OS is corrupt.

I see folks getting help and their problem is resolved, but I cant find the info to resolve this.  What am I missing here?  Can someone help me with this one?

Thanks,

Sometimes this may happen but only if doing a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything). If all the disks are blank then the system will automatically do a factory default. I've sent you a PM.

Ah this is on a RN204. These are not affected by the issue that affects the Pro 4.

I can see just the one disk in the system with lots of partitions on it. It's clearly formatted for use in something other than a ReadyNAS.

Also this ST3000DM001 disk is bad.
