ReadyNAS system partition (OS storage) free space?
Is there a way to see the free space available on the system partition of a ReadyNAS PRO Pioneer? System partition being where the OS is installed?
I recently had an issue where a 3rd party addon copied a large amount of data to this partition and caused the partition to run out of space. This caused FrontView to corrupt and I lost access to my shares. Luckily, Netgear support was able to SSH in and remove the files and rebuild my OS.
I would like to monitor this free space so I can avoid this issue while still using 3rd party addons.
Any tips?

- The only way that I can think of to view the OS partition usage is to use SSH. There's an add-on here: http://www.readynas.com/?p=4203 to enable it. This is not recommended because after enabling SSH; Netgear can refuse support. Usually they won't unless you meddle in the wrong stuff and create a problem yourself through SSH; just be careful if you opt to use it.
- if you have an iphone (or touch or pad), the ISTAT app, and readynas addon will show you the system and data partition free/used spaces
- Also, in reference to the system partition full problems, I hope that someday netgear will include low space warnings/email alerts for the system partition, so the problem can be prevented before it goes completely full
- PHPSysInfo on NAS Monitor seems to show it as well.

4gb on root at /dev/md0, 550mb used.
+1 to the request to have FrontView monitor and warn of this. Scary when 3rd party addons can store on this partition and FrontView doesn't take well to running out of space.
