SqueezeBox Server - Multiple Music Folders

I have a ReadyNas Pro 6 with RAIDiator 4.2.19 and run SqueezeCentre Server 7.6.1
I am Mac Based

I store my music in two different folders

/media/Media Server/mp3/Music
/media/Media Server/Lossless/Music

In the Basic Settings of the Squeezebox Server I can only set 1 Music Folder, i.e. One of the above

I would like to load the music from both the mp3 and Lossless directories so how do I go about doing this.

If I name my Music Folder as /media/Media Server it will pick up the music from both libraries, but unfortunately it picks up all the other music files to such as podcasts etc.

Any suggestions please?

I did think that a command like

/media/Media Server/mp3/Music; /media/Media Server/Lossless/Music

might work, but unfortunately not.

Thank you

  • FYI logitech mediaserver 7.7 (beta) seems to include this feature by default. On the settings site, there are slots for several media locations, and it works seamlessly on mine (readynas x86, and squeezebox radio.)

    And I'm also mac based.
  • If you have ssh enabled, just create a sym link.

    ln -s /media/Media\ Server/Lossless/Music /media/Media\ Server/mp3/Music/Lossless

Then set directory to /media/Media Server/mp3/Music/

Otherwise try LMS 7.7 rc2 or wait until it's officially released.
  • I have installed Server version 7.7 and it works a dream, especially with regard to the accessing of multiple directories.

    Thank you
