7869 folders moved out 830 more folders gained
ratio wise not a great improvement but at least I can see more.
for info originally I had 241 folders in the top directory.
Try enabling http as a file sharing protocol for the share, and then see if http://nas-ip-address/Documents lets you see all the files.
I tried a subfolder that has about 4000 files. When I use the admin interface you are using, It didn't display the full list. When I pulled the scroll bar all the way to the bottom, it retrieved a few more. I had to repeat it quite a number of times before I reached the last file. So it eventually showed them all, but it took a fair amount of time.
The second path uses a very different (and very dated) presentation, but it did show me all the files in one go.
Though the RN100 systems do have quite limited memory, and might behave differently.

Does the next folder name contain any unusual characters?
I'm aware of a script for fixing shares that have gone missing from the UI, but not folders within a share. AFAIK, the UI does not keep its own record of folders, just shares.
Are you comfortable with the Linux command prompt via SSH?

.
As far as I can see no
FSX is the last visible folder I can see - Garden Design has 2 zipped folders in it but I don't see any "Illegal Characters" in it
and I've unzipped them and looked at those - they see legal. FSX has a zipped and the unzipped version - again nothing that looks illegal there.
I've used the SSH before to rid the Clam anti virus files that were filling the OS before.
PS Thanks for your response.

But I'm not very good at inserting image of file explorer - the folder is named in straight English "Garden Lights"
