WNA31100M N300 doesn't work on Windows 10

I just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. On my PC I always used a WNA31100M N300 usb wireless mini adapter to connect to the internet as my motherboard has no onboard WiFi connecter.
Now that I've upgraded I can now not connect to any Wireless internet things, they dint even appear in available networks.
Please can someone help me solve this.

Re: WNA3100M N300 doesn't work on Windows 10

I talked to someone from Netgear and they said that the drivers for the WNA3100M N300 that support Windows 10 are not released yet, and that there was no ETA. This means that we have to wait for the new drivers to release before we can acces the internet with Windows 10 and a WNA3100M N300. Luckilly there is an option in Windows 10 that allows you to convert back to your old OS, which is what I did.

How to do that: http://www.howtogeek.com/220723/how-to-uninstall-windows-10-and-downgrade-to-windows-7-or-8.1/

So for now the only solution is to downgrade and wait for the drivers to be released by Netgear.

Re: WNA3100M N300 doesn't work on Windows 10

I can't say any answer, but I have the same problem: Yesterday I installed windows 10 (starting from w8.1) and after that adapter

stoped to work. From the internet I found a new "drivers", but registration failed: Must the device re-registration ?

("I got the message that adapter already registrated")

My question now: How to proceed????

Greetings

Sorry to jump on the bandwagon, but I have only just seen this.

Is your statement about new drivers (waiting for Netgear) going to apply to the

WNDA3100 family as well, specifically in my case the WNDA3100v2?

Re: WNA3100M N300 doesn't work on Windows 10

Thanks for the link ... unfortunately that doesn't help.

I downloaded that on the 8th June 2015 and have been using it fine on Windows 7 Ultimate.

But after upgrade to Windows 10, wireless has been a pain in the a****.

However the other day, I tried a different tack (1 of many) by trying to completely obliterate every mention of Netgear completely from my machine.

Cleared out the registry, temporay files, etc etc. Then installed .... no joy.

I discovered that the only place that had a reference to netgear was when using DOS promt with command 'netcfg -s n'.

It had 2 'nonpnp' items.as wireless adapters.

At the moment there are 5 items, 2 or matbe 3 not required.

Network Adapters

usb\vid_0846&pid_9011      NETGEAR WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter
usb\vid_0846&pid_9011      NETGEAR WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter #3
nonpnpnetworkinterface\{bcfebfc0-769a-486b-b75e-e514730f41f4} NETGEAR WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter #2
nonpnpnetworkinterface\{b9f4eca5-efa9-4922-a65b-6fd492e20b49} NETGEAR WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter #2
pci\ven_10ec&dev_8168&rev_06 Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

What should this look like and how do I delete the unnecessary ones, as I believe this MUST be part of the problem.
