WNDA3100 (N600 Dual Band) Compatibility with Panasonic TV (TCP50VT20)

According to Panasonic this Netgear wifi adapter is compatible with the TV. When I plug it into the TV USB and select Network Connection, I keep getting the message "Compatible wireless adapter not found." No such issue when I have the Ethernet cable plugged into the TV. And I have confirmed the adapter connects to my wifi router by setting it up on my laptop. Any clues on how to make the adapter connect to my wifi network when plugged inot the TV? Not going to be able connect to services like Hulu without it? Thanks.
