Cannot connect to Extender network - EX6150|AC1200

In extender mode it needs to be hardwired into the router.
If it doesn't work in extender mode or AP mode, and you've tried reloading firmware, then you probably might have a bad unit.
In extender it needs to be hardwired to the router? It never was before. I thought it had to be hard wired to the router in access point mode
