Changing IP Address on AC1200 WIFI Extender
WIFI Extender Ex6150AC1200
Has anyone successfully chnaged the IP address of this device from 192.168.1.250? My whole network is set up as 192.168.0.xxx. I have attempted to change the IP address via the setup program, but will not change the IP address. Thanks

Re: Changing IP Address on AC1200 WIFI Extender
Hi @DanBobber,
It should change it automatically once it gets an IP from existing DHCP server of your Gateway/Router. May I know if you completed setup and got the Router LED lit up?

Re: Changing IP Address on AC1200 WIFI Extender
Per Netgear tech support the default IP address of 192.168.1.250 can not be changed, contrary to what the documentation states. This works if your network is setup to the Netgeaf subnet "standard". Will not work if your network is configured to anything other than 192.168.1.xxx.

Re: Changing IP Address on AC1200 WIFI Extender
Well, then somebody needs to tell NetGear tech support. I was on the phone with them for over a hour, up to “second level” and they could not figure it out. Finally, told me I would have to change all the devices to subnet 192.168.1.nnn. No thanks. Returned it.
