Connecting to Newer Spectrum Gear

hi - recently attempted to connect this wi fi ext. to a Spectrum modem/router and the WPS button doesn't blink like with older generations of Spectrum/TimeWarner equip.  Can this extender be 1)updated  (none of the HTML pages show up as the gear doesn't work yet) 2)  need some help troubleshooting this.

netgear support has expired.

thanks!!

Re: Connecting to Newer Spectrum Gear

Might ask the ISP to update there modem/router hard ware.

Ask the ISP about how the WPS button is supposed to work. I may just need to be pressed then press the WPS button on the EX2700.
Check with the ISP on how there WPS button works on there modem.

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the WiFi Extender products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with WiFi Extender products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Thank you.

Re: Connecting to Newer Spectrum Gear

instead of setting up using wps, setup the extender using the installation assistant.
Factory reset the extender (push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds) and then use the installation assistant.

Don't use WPS
