Connecting to Work WPA2 network with WiFi Extender

I am trying to extend my work network with my WN3000RPv3 range extender because my office has a terrible Wifi signal (and cell signal). If I understand it right, it uses WPA2, not WPA2-PSK, so it has both the identity and password I normally use to log in. In the mywifiext.net page there's no place to include the identity; does the extender support this security set up at all?

Thanks,

Bretttt

  • Hi bretttt,

Sorry to say that Netgear extenders will not be supporting PEAP wireless security. It supports only till WPA2.

  • Hi bretttt,

WPA2 and WPA2-PSK is same and all Netgear extenders support this security type.

When connecting to the work Wifi on a device, I need to enter the identity (username) and password which are unique to each person. Is there any way to replicate this on the extender? Otherwise I can't get on.

        Hi bretttt,

If it is an authentication on browser with user name and password, extender will not support such setup.
