Hello Guys, I was just wanting confirmation if the EAX20 and the EX3110 do not have dhcp servers.
I am trying to connect the EX3110 to the EAX20 which it does but it cannot get an ipaddress. it works with a manual ip address. So ok I thought I will just turn on dhcp in the EX3110 but cant find it, ok I will just turn it on in the EAX20, but again I cannot find the option anywhere, Is this correct do neither of these AP have a DHCP server and if so WHY? Every other Access point I have used has a DHCP server option, What is netgear doing? not allowed to daisy chain? Anyway I just need to confirm that for whatever reason neither of these Ap have DHCP servers.
Thank you

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the WiFi Extender products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with WiFi Extender products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Re: DHCP issue
DHCP or dynamically get an IP address is activated by default see page https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EAX20/EAX20_UM_EN.pdf (page 37 - 38 of the manual)
Also for EX3110 : https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EX3110/EX3110_UM_EN.pdf (page 25 of the manual)

Re: DHCP issue
Auto assigning IP addresses from a pool of IP address is called DHCP service. What is your definition of a DHCP service? By default DHCP is activated like I already said before. This is what is written for yor EX3110
The extender comes set up to use a dynamic IP address, which is the correct setting for most home networks. So it already received an IP address of the DHCP service that is running on your router. Also this is written for EAX20 : The extender comes set up to use a dynamic IP address, which is the correct setting for most home networks. But you are right there isn't a DHCP server option where you can change i DHCP IP range, it is only a client. I was a bit too quick to answer.
