EX2700 - Connectivity issues

I'm having trouble reconnecting my range extender to my network. I ended up having to do a factory reset and have followed the steps in the manual to reconnect; however, my network isn't showing up in the list of 2.4 GHz networks. When I try entering the name of the network manually I get an error message saying I'm not connected to the network. I've tried updating the firmware but my Mac won't allow me to install the file (puts it in the trash). I contacted my Internet Service Provider to make sure there are no problems on their end. Everything looks okay on that count. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Right now I've got devices that can barely connect. Thanks.

    Hi TSkiles,

    Welcome to the community!

    1. Are you referring to the main 2.4GHz network or the extenders?

    2. Do your other wireless devices (smartphone, tablet, laptop) detect the main 2.4GHz network?

    Regards,

      Hi DexterJB,

Thanks for the quick response. My network wasn’t showing up on the 2.4 GHz on any devices. The cable tech came today, determined that the router/modem combo was malfunctioning and replaced it. I would hope this has resolved my problem. The new router is more powerful so I may not need an extender after all. If I do need it and run into problems installing it I’ll revisit the community here. Thanks for your help.
