EX2700 Extender Connected Device Bypasses Main Router Site Blocking
This is a great device in extending Nighthawk R7000 router coverage but .....
Sad to just discover that transmissions from browsers on devices connected through the Extender are bypassing the Site / Service Blocking functions of the router. It appears the default gateway of the Extender cannot be it's main IP address which I thought might alleviate the problem, but it wants to be the main router's Internet Gateway IP address. Site dr.m.baidu.com and Opera browser unused search engines always transmitting outbound requests regardless of actual search engine used (DDGo), another sore point with Opera. Blocked on R7000 Router but permitted as shown in router logs if from EX2700 devices.
Any fix or suggestions to try will be appreciated.

Re: EX2700 Extender Connected Device Bypasses Main Router Site Blocking
Hello Rialbo
What you will need to do is log in to your router and find the DNS server that is being used this is typically shown in the Internet settings copy this down. Next you will want to log into your extender and go to Internet setup and switch it to Use a static Ip address here you will want to change the DNS to the same DNS that the router is using. This should make the Parental controls work on the extender.
