EX6200 not providing 1Gbps connection speeds.

Hello all,

I've bought the EX6200 to function as a wireless switch. It's on my desk and a (CAT6) network cable is directly connected to my PC. However my PC is displaying fast-ethernet. Even though the ports on the EX6200 list to have 1Gbps speed. My Extender is putting through roughly 350-400 Mbps within the 5GHz channel, and the ethernet ports make use of the 5GHz band.

Several things I've tried.

1: Use a different (pre-patched) network cable.

2. Force 1Gbps in the Realtek driver settings. This still results in a 100Mbps connection.

3. Use a different port on the Extender.

4. Rollback the firmware to the original version.

Any  help would be greatly appreciated.

  • As a follow-up. It is working now as it should. Apparantly both of the network cables that were used in the scenario were faulty.
