EX6250 — AC1750 Dual Band WiFi Mesh Extender - Blinking Power Light after Power Failure
My EX6250 range extender has a continuously blinking green power light. This happened last night when a lightning storm knocked out the power for only a second.
The support page says this may happen if a firmware update is interrupted and to contact Support. However, I am unable to open a ticket because my device is past its warranty date.
I tried doing a factory reset and logging in again using Nighthawk, but the software says “unable to join network NETGEAR_EXT,” then “extender not found.”
Any ideas on how I can restore service to the device?

You can try recovering it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

I’ve only used my iPad in connection with Nighthawk. I have a laptop with Windows 7; would that work?

Of course, yes!
