EX7300 Connect to Another EX7300 in Extender Mode

Hi Everyone,

I am looking at purchasing a couple of the EX7300 Extender series but before I do, I need to know if a EX7300 can Extend from another EX7300. So effectively it will be extending an already extended wireless signal. Our house is very long with a couple of thick stone walls.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

Duke

  • It's not recommended to wirelessly connect one extender to another.  There is a 50% speed penalty imposed by each extender, so the second extender will have, at best, 25% of the speed of the main Wi-Fi network.

You can connect the two extenders together via Ethernet.  This avoids the speed penalty.

      Thanks TE,

My issue is we live in the country and the only way of getting Broadband is via a Telstra (our ISP) supplied 4G modem. This doesn't have any ethernet ports and therefore I can't connect to it via an ethernet cable. We have to have this thing close to the window so we can obtain an internet connection so moving it is not an option.

Can you give me any suggestion on how we can achieve this to give our whole house wireless coverage?

      Thanks
