Just did the FW v1.02.202 and twice this cutout after so many hours and would not allow internet connection. After the second failure, I then saved config settings, downloaded the FW and flashed the...

Hi Christian,
Very odd that I did not get an email stating you responded to my post as I would have answered you much earlier.
Yes I did try a test using LAN connected devices and then unplugging the EX8000 and running tests. All of which give me near my 1gb speed.

Turbojr74 - Thanks for confirming. On the extender do you have One WiFi name or Smart Connect enabled? Have you gotten a chance to change the WiFi channels on the R7800?

Christian - Hey I got this email notice :)
I am using the One Wifi name for mesh. I have not changed the channels on the R7800. How would that effect the speed to the EX8000 when connecting to the R7800 is doing just fine with speed?
I did notice the other day that the picture in the EX8000 status showed the 5GHZ output was disabled (for whatever reason as the config showed it was enabled and radio was on), restarted the EX8000 and the 5GHZ output showed green once more and on. However, this did not change anything regarding the speed...now I'm trying to check it every couple days to see if its off again. I have never seen that before. I have not yet gone back to an earlier firmware but thinking it may be necessary if this continues.

Hello Turbojr74 - We have received feedback in previously that changing the channels on the host has helped. Looking forward to your next update!

I am getting supotimal/poor performance from the 5GHz bands on my EX8000 as well when setup as a WAP and wired into my XR500 router. Did you ever get it to work as it should?
- Turbojr74Dec 06, 2019TutorI have not - been hit and miss really.
I can get higher speeds from tested devices just connected to 5ghz of the R7800 in the area where the ex8000 is at.
Connect those same devices to the 5ghz of the ex8000 and there is a significant loss.
