Ethernet port stopped working
The wi-fi still works but the ethernet port stopped. Extender is about a year old. I reset the extender but that didn't help.
Any ideas?

Yes, that works.
I suggested two checks - which one worked?

Sorry....plugging directly into the router. I don't have another device to test the extender at the moment. I'm working on my laptop now and can't log out. I'll have to wait until lunch.

Laptop did not connect. Only wireless works.

Well, it sounds like the ethernet hardware in the extender might have failed. There's not much you can do about that (unless the extender is still covered by warranty).
But you might try unplugging the extender for a while (15 minutes or so), and then plugging it back in again. Sometimes that can bring a "failed" port back to life. A second reset might also be worth a try.

I replaced it. Found a really inexpensive one...got it next day. Gotta love Amazon.
Thanks for the info!
