Exclamation point when switching between Extender and Router
When I move from the room where my router is located (EX8000) to a room covered by my range extender (R9000) I often get the following:
An exclamation point over my wifi icon
Message saying: "Another device on the network i susing yoru computer's IP address"
If I go back within range of the router it connects just fine.
I'm running MacOS Mojave 10.14.4
Any ideas on what i can do to fix this?

MIght have it backwards. The EX8000 is the extender and the R9000 is the router.
Firmware on both devices?
I'd start by making sure you've assigned a static ip address to the extender. Is it only on one device or do all your devices do it on the extender? You can set static ip address or ip reserverations to specific devices.
