Can you please confirm which NETGEAR N300 WiFi extender you have? (Ex. PR2000, WN3000RP, etc)
Also which router are you now using?
Do you have another computer/mobile device that can connect to WiFi networks? Please try to see if those devices can detect the NETGEAR_EXT WiFI network
