Invalid Password Error for Wifi Network

I have connected the extender using the wps button but cannot log in my Mac . A message invalid password is shown and it needs a WPA2 password. My router co say that the WPA2 password is my normal wifi password. How can I connect? Thanks

    Hello paul1946,

     

    Hard reset the extender and join the NETGEAR_EXT wifi network.  After you connect to it, browse to www.mywifiext.net, login with the default credentials [username: admin / password: password], and follow the setup instructions.
