My N300 Wifi Range Extender (Model EX2700) does not work despite being set up properly.

This is my second time using this product. I had to replace the first one due to one of the antenna coming out, and now I'm having problems with this one despite it working fine for a while.

About two weeks ago, my extender suddenly stopped allowing any devices to connect to the EXT network. The network is there, but anytime I try to connect my devices it just keeps on loading and not connecting. I have tried to factory reset it three times and set it up again, all with no success. Does anyone have any clue what the problem is? The main network works fine, so I'm assuming it must be a problem with the product itself? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and extender(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using on the main host router?

The distance definitely isn't the problem as in the past it has worked absolutely fine from there, and I myself am not too far from the extender either. The product seems like it's fine so I have no clue as to why I am unable to connect to the extension network.

what router are you connecting it to?

What firmware is on the extender?

What method of setup did you use? WPS or the installation assistant?

I'm connecting it to my virgin media router on the floor below.

I don't know about any firmware.

I set it up by plugging in the extender, selecting the blank network on a device, setting it up through that and connecting it to my main network. Doing this the EXT version appears but it won't allow me to connect.

What virgin media gateway is it? (model)

If you're logging into the extender for setup, it should have the firmware version displayed on the page.
