My nightmare has begun from Nighthwak
My first Netgear product is an wifi extender EX2700. I like it a lot since my previous wifi extender was like a junk. After a while, I bought another EX2700 and was still happy with it.
Many months ago, I bought a Netgear Arlo. It's not perfect but it's still above average.
One day, the brand Netgear was in my mind when I wanted to upgrade to an AC wifi router. I picked R6700v2 the AC1750 and later also got an EX3700 wifi extender. However, it's the beginning of my nightmare.
After I use R6700v2, my EX2700 randomly drops of internet even it's connected to R6700v2 with solid green lights. The EX3700 also has issues. Every few days, when other iPhones connect to it, it shows no internet connection. I have to unplug then plug it back just like what I do for EX2700 when it drops internet. Another trick I could do was to forget the SSID then manually enter to SSID and password to reconnect. The trick suddenly not works anymore after the latest firmware update for the EX3700.
Last time, Netgear support told me to set a static channel to avoid the issue. I have tried 1, 6, 11 for the 2.4GHz and 36, 40, 44, 149 for the 5GHz. However, when it's not auto, the internet is so unstable. It's constantly on and off. I had to switch back to auto, however, the unstable issue couldn't be resolved. I had to unplug the modem, router and the 3 extenders then repower them one by one to work.
Maybe the next thing I should try is to set back a static channel then unplug everything then repower on them to work? Anyway, it's just nightmare nightmare and nightmare. It begins from I trust a brand...

Re: My nightmare has begun from Nighthwak
You may want to facotry reset the extender by holding the reset button for 10 + seconds then setup the extender again with the router also make sure it is on the latest firmware.
