NETGEAR - WN3000RP - Shaw Internet
Hi Guys,
Im sorry if im the 100th person to post this same thread but i have not sifted through the other threads yet.
I am using Shaw as my internet service provider and have the SISCO - 2 in 1 Modem/Router.
I also bought the NetGear WN3000RP. When i first bought the netgear repeater it worked great. I did not have to change any of the administration settings for the wireless in order for my repeater to work properly. It gave great signal and worked like a charm. I would honestly rate it 5 stars.
Now here is my problem. About a week ago i had a power surge in my house and the power went out for about 40 seconds. Ever since i have not been able to connect my NETGEAR repeater to my modem/wireless router (2 in 1). I have factory reset the admin settings, check the security features and every is the same as it was before when my repeater was working.
Does anyone have ANY idea what might be cause my repeater to not to connect to my modem/router.
I know it is not the repeater because i tried connecting it to a different network and got internet access through my repeater.
It seems as if my SISCO - 2 in 1 modem/router is now blocking my repeater.
Any ideas?
Julian

- AdvertmanAspirantWhen the power has been cut off sometimes the extender will reset it self in my case it does sometimes, so the extender ssid wil be changed tot NETGEAR_EXT and the security is open so if your NETWORK already was NETGEAR_EXT with a security on it then your device does not connect to the Extender any more then you have to delete it in your system or change security to open.
