Need help extending and boosting wifi signal
I know this subject has been covered before but I can't quite piece it all together. I just changed my ISP to Century Link. The modem/Router had to be located in a different place than my old router. While the 3 floors of my house have coverage the office space in my converted garage is very weak or not at all. My old router is an Apple Time Capsule which is located in a converted breeze way between the house and the garage and covered the garage just fine. The new ISP comes in through the phone line. I don't have the capability to run an ethnernet line from the new router. The office/garage is used only a couple times a week however, when going outside I lose the signal where before I did not. I would appreciate some help.

Note that the X6S extender's model number is EX8000.
The EX7500 is one of the mesh extenders. It happens to be a plug-in module, instead of free-standing (as the EX8000 is). However, the EX8000 would of course also work.

Extenders (by definition) can connect to your router over wifi. Most (including Netgear's) also have the option of connecting with ethernet.

An extender could solve the problem. What router are you using now? Are you getting a good wifi signal in the breezeway (or in the house nearby the breezeway)?
The router that I have is an Actiontec C3000a. I am getting a good signal in the breeze way. This is where I do all my computer/internet work and I have not had any problems getting and keeping a wifi signal.
It sounds like a plug-in extender in the breezeway would work.
The EX6110 is one option, though an EX7500 would perform better (though is more expensive).
