Range extender doesn't work with N450 wifi modem router
I purchased a new N450 WiFi Cable Modem Router. I couldn't get my TP-Link range extender to work with the router. I purchased an Almond router/range extender. I've tried setting it up as a range extender and it also doesn't work. Is there something I need to do in the Cable Modem Router settings to have it recognize either of these range extenders?

It could be the security type or the wireless channel that those extenders do not like but I have not set up those brands before.
