Wireless extender security on an open wifi help

I am becomming completely frustrated

 

Centurylink sent us a new router which we finally got connected.  Trying to reconfigure the extender with no luck

 

I tried Option one with WPA...when trying to connect to the EXT network...it says not connected  Open Network

 

I did the factory reset and still getting same message.

 

My extender power light and wpa? light is on.  Even the connect light is solid green so it looks like it is connected, but I still can't get on the network through my computer...I even did a direct connection with an ethernet cable.

 

I tried connecting to the direct IP address of the myext.net and again telling me there is no internet connection.

 

Century link absolutely no help at all.

    1. What is the model number of the extender?

    2. If the reset was successful, you can try going through the setup procedure as described on this link (may not be the correct model for your device).
