Question

I want to use my ac1000 as an wireless access point. I have an R7000 as a router. When I type the address www.router login.net to my browser, i see my router and not the access point, thus i can't reconfigure it. I reset it to factory settings.&nbsp;

unhook the AC1000 (model number?)&nbsp; from the R7000. Then connect a computer to the AC1000 and go into its settings and change it to access point mode. then reconnect it to the R7000.&nbsp;When it reconnects (in access point mode), the r7000 will assign it its own IP address. You can use that to access it.&nbsp;

when i try to connect the ac1000 to a computer directly the internet LED on the router turns amber. I can't see it on my computer.

What router is it? Ac1000 is a speed.What else is connected to the router?&nbsp;Are you connecting to the lan port or wan port with your pc?

and which port are you connecting it to on the router? the wan port or lan port?&nbsp;Disconnect everything from the router other than your pc and make sure its plugged into the lan port.&nbsp;Then reboot the router and the computer.&nbsp;then try to acces the router and put it in AP mode
