ac1000
I want to use my ac1000 as an wireless access point. I have an R7000 as a router. When I type the address www.router login.net to my browser, i see my router and not the access point, thus i can't reconfigure it. I reset it to factory settings.

unhook the AC1000 (model number?) from the R7000. Then connect a computer to the AC1000 and go into its settings and change it to access point mode. then reconnect it to the R7000.
When it reconnects (in access point mode), the r7000 will assign it its own IP address. You can use that to access it.

when i try to connect the ac1000 to a computer directly the internet LED on the router turns amber. I can't see it on my computer.

What router is it? Ac1000 is a speed.
What else is connected to the router?
Are you connecting to the lan port or wan port with your pc?
