ex6100v2----connected to c7000v2 router, but the ext network doesn't show up
I have a Netgear C7000v2 modem/router and a Netgear EX6100v2 extender. I successfully connected the router to the extender (i.e., I can see the extender in the connected devices list when I login to the router). But when I go to a separate device (e.g., my iPhone) and try to connect to the extender, no extender network shows up on the list of available networks. I would expect to see something like NETGEAR37_EXT. But nothing shows up like that. Please help.

Re: ex6100v2----connected to c7000v2 router, but the ext network doesn't show up
The EX6100v2 is a mesh extender. meaning if you set it up in its default mode, it uses the same ssid as the router and allows devices to roam between it and the router as needed.
You can disable that option if you don't need/want it
