rR6900/ not connecting to internet

My router will not connect to the internet, as well there is only the first 2 lights that are blinking, the rest are not... I have rebooted a few times & I keep getting the same thing.

    What firmware is on it? 

    What modem is it connecting to? 

    Is this a new product? 

    did you try a factory reset (not reboot)? push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on.

      What do you mean by firmware? Or like how do I look it up to find it?
      It is not new. I apparently purchased it in January of 2017.
      When I did press & hold down for 7-30 seconds it just kept the 2 first lights on. Nothing happened. If that makes sense ?
      I’ve also unplugged both router & modem power & waited at least 15 seconds & when I plugged both back in my modem went back on but the router still only has the first two lights on. The second button keeps blinking.

        What modem are you connected to?

        the first 2 lights are power and internet. 

        Did you try going through setup after resetting?
