Hi, my AC1900 randomly stopped connecting to my 5ghz Uverse router. The 2ghz works perfectly and I've reset the router and extender several times. After every full re-set the 5ghz works for some period of time but routinely stops working. I'm able to connect to the regular 5ghz so I know the router itself is working but the extender is unable to pick it up and extend it. As the 5ghz is mich more powerful, this is affecting many of my applications. Any tips? Thanks!DHCP not working when connected to 5Ghz on EX7000 extender
I have a weird issue with DHCP on the 5Ghz band. I am using the EX7000 as an extender to a CISCO E4200 which is the DHCP server. I extend both 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands. I have configured the DHCP server for a reduced range of address (a.b.c.100 to a.b.c.130) On the Cisco, I can connect any device at will on the 2.4 or 5.8 Ghz networks. On the Netgear Ex7000 extander, it is more tricky. On the 2..4 Ghz, i can connect any device on the extender and it will be assigned an address within seconds. On the 5 Ghz band, it is more unreliable. If I force a device to move from the 2.4 Ghz SSID to the 5 Ghz one, most of the time, the DHCP request will timeout after a minute or so and revert back to 2.4 Ghz. SOmetimes it will work. Any idea how to get that to work ? Both the Cisco Router and the EX7000 are loaded with the latest firmware available.3.2KViews0likes2Comments
