I have had a r6300v2 fo quite a while and have not had any problems with it. However recently with no noticable reason the 5ghz network started running very slow. My i have 60mbps download speeds from my isp but on the 5ghz band I only get around 15mbps. In the past I have been able to achieve the full 60mbps on 5ghz. The 2.4 ghz seems to be just fine. I also checked to make sure other devices weren't the problem, and my network was the only one on channel 161. I am using firmware version V1.0.4.6_10.0.76SolvedForce 5ghz Channels
I'm having a problem with one iphone 6 which has a damaged wifi. I would like to try and force the phone to use only the 5ghz frequency if possible to test if just a particular antenna is bad in the phone. So, since I don't see any clear ways to set my router to only use the 5ghz frequency, can someone guide me in setting it up? I only have iphones connecting to the wifi which all have 802.11ac capabilites, so I should be able to force it onto one frequency or another. As you can see from the clip below, it is running at 2.462 frequency. I've unchecked ' Enable 20/40 MHz Coexistence' already, and Channel 11 is clear in my area. Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated. Is this router even capable of running only 5ghz frequency, or do I need to buy a 802.11ac wifi router? This is just for testing, so I'd prefer not to have to purchase a new router if I can avoid it. Below is a snippet of what a wifi channel scanner sees.SolvedNot connecting to 5GHz ?
I have a Netgear R6250 and unable to connect to 5GHz. My TV recognizes both 5GHz and 1.4GHz, but the 5GHz will not connect. My PC is not even showing the 5GHz in my internet connection box. Called support. They had me rename the 2 router settings as they were in still the default names. This did not solve my issue. Any help sincerely appreciated.Solved
