Hello, I've purchased this A6210 dongle around 3 months ago, the 5GHz was working fine around 2 month and just one day stopped working. I didn't have the time to try and solve it, so I've just used the 2.4GHz, now I'm trying to solve it and nothing is working. I tried to: 1. Uninstall-install (driver alone, and software and driver - version 1.0.0.34) 2. Change USB connector position 3. Configure "Only 5GHz" - not showing my network etc. This is really annoying that I can't use the 5GHz - do you have any suggestions?Solved8.9KViews0likes7CommentsA6210 cannot create wireless hotspot!!!
I have created numerous hotspots with other usb adapters. Windows 7 has a built in functionality of allowing wireless network adapters to create hotspots to share internet. This can be done directly through the windows elevated command prompt, or using a 3rd party software that has a nicer UI such as Connectify. Here is a basic tutorial about creating a hotspot: http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-WiFi-Hotspot-Using-the-Command-Prompt However, with the A6210, hotspots cannot be created at all. Only an error message is shown about "microsoft hosted network could not be started". I have tried every driver on the netgear website, but none work. Please investigate this issue as it is a very very basic function of a usb adapter.17KViews1like9CommentsAC6200 USB 2.0 VS USB 3.0 MODE
Hi Team, I was wondering which is stable and provide max throughput. So far wireless adapters never reached the max theoritical or practical throughput of USB 2.0 ie 40+ MBps. Hardly 20 Mbps is max achieved via wireless adaptors. Though Bridge is difference scenario altogether. I was wondering which is better a6200 usb 2.0 or 3.0 . As i seen posts and feedback for the adaptor reaching 867 Mbps to min of 520Mbps when see real data transfer can range from 20-60MBps. if the speed link is 360 we can 30MB + 520 We can 40MB+ 867 we can 80MB+ I dont see high speed is possible even if the adaptor is close to router As no internet that fast evne if so router cant reach that max. Even if its connected storage hardly 60Mbps is possible even with usb.3.0 flash drive with fastest read speed of 240+MBps is there max is 60Mbps But when done via wired it is different. I am not sure if the wifi speed needs to go beyond 60MBps does the usb 3.0 really helps in that. Anything beyond 50MBps is good8.7KViews0likes10Comments7550 firmware update
Hi I have a B90-75504-15 modem/ router/ wifi adaptor and I have been experiencing frequent cut outs from my internet so I would like to try and do an update but I can’t seem to find the firmware download anywhere for it. I just found that Netgear Genie fires up from time to time and takes up 99% of CPU until I forcibly kill it. So, I tried to uninstall. When I try to uninstall using the Genie's own uninstaller, I get "The application does not support this OS." Genie v 1.2.0.14 A little research on the site shows me that this is likely because I upgraded to Windows 10, and whoever wrote your old Genie app and install routines must have assumed that there will never be any OS updates. So, now it's stuck on my machine, and is showing really bad behavior from time to time. I've noticed by searching on your support forums that a LOT of people are having issues with old/new Genie after upgrading to Windows 10, and so far I haven't found a thread that eneded with a resolution. I tried downloading the new version and then uninstalling it but it didn't impact the old installation. I need this GONE. Can't even remember why I installed it, as I'm a technical guy and have tools for doing network traces and other analysis. All I want is to have it GONE. Please let me know how to do this. I'm going to be REALLY disappointed - angry might be a better word - if this will require an hour's worth of registry editing and similar kinds of "oops, we messed up so you get to clean it up" stuff.9.3KViews0likes1CommentNetgear WNCE3001 and Tivo Mini
I've connected my WNCE3001 to a tivo mini because i cannot run new networking cables between rooms in my apartment easily or cheaply. I have no problems with live television but cannot consistently connect to the shows recorded on my Tivo Roamio without having to power cycle my tivo at least a couple of times a day. It is probably a Tivo limitation but is there a way we can circumvent it by changing some configuration settings either for the WNCE3001 or for my router which is a Netgear WNDR4500 v1 ?Solved8KViews0likes6CommentsA6210 fails to operate simultaneous dual band
Hi All, I just got this adapter. I've installed the latest drivers from netgear and I can see the connection getting established at 866 Mhz. However it appears to not connect in simultaneous dual band at all (the prime reason I bought this particular adapter). The router is an Asus RT-AC3200 operating in Simultaneous Tri-band AC3200 mode so I'm not sure what am I missing to make this work at full 1.2 Gbps. Has anybody succeeded at getting simultaneous dual band to work at all on this or another adapter? Otherwise I may as well pick one of the other cheaper dual band adapters and return this to stock. Thanks in advance for your responses.Solved3.6KViews0likes3Comments
