Hello, I've purchased this A6210 dongle around 3 months ago, the 5GHz was working fine around 2 month and just one day stopped working. I didn't have the time to try and solve it, so I've just used the 2.4GHz, now I'm trying to solve it and nothing is working. I tried to: 1. Uninstall-install (driver alone, and software and driver - version 1.0.0.34) 2. Change USB connector position 3. Configure "Only 5GHz" - not showing my network etc. This is really annoying that I can't use the 5GHz - do you have any suggestions?Solved8.9KViews0likes7Commentsnew idea for security for all modem and raouters

I have created numerous hotspots with other usb adapters. Windows 7 has a built in functionality of allowing wireless network adapters to create hotspots to share internet. This can be done directly through the windows elevated command prompt, or using a 3rd party software that has a nicer UI such as Connectify. Here is a basic tutorial about creating a hotspot: http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-WiFi-Hotspot-Using-the-Command-Prompt However, with the A6210, hotspots cannot be created at all. Only an error message is shown about "microsoft hosted network could not be started". I have tried every driver on the netgear website, but none work. Please investigate this issue as it is a very very basic function of a usb adapter.17KViews1like9CommentsR8000/R7900: No Wireless Bridge Mode?
Surprised to see that there is no bridge mode option in R7900/R8000 admin settings. The only feature that's available is the Wireless AP mode. Is this correct? Am I missing something? Even on the R7000, there is an option under Advanced Setup > Wireless Settings to convert one of the radios to connect to another router (Use other operation mode > Setup Bridge Mode Wireless Settings). Is there any reason why this would be disabled on the R8000/R7900? Is there a firmware version that still has this feature enabled that I can revert to? I have the R7900 variant, and my current firmware is 1.0.1.4. To clarify, I'm not talking about bridging an IPTV to the Internet or using the R8000/R7900 as an AP. I'm talking about getting the R8000/R7900 to wirelessly bridge with another wifi router.Solved64KViews0likes22CommentsVPN Setup on Netgear Router - HELP
I would like to setup a VPN connection through PIA on my Netgear router (Model listed as C7000-100NAS), but I think it's the same or a version of the AC1900 Netgear Nighthawk. All the documents I see, instruct you to go to onto the Netgear Genie console and enable the VPN connection under Advanced, Advanced Settings, VPN. I don't have a VPN option under advanced settings. I bought the router from Amazon, so not through ISP (which is TWC), but not sure if they can disable features or something. Very confused. Have anyone else come across this?30KViews4likes16CommentsHow to Change Ethernet network name?
When I orginally changed my SSID for the wirless settings, it also changed the ethernet network name that is showing up on my windows 10. I then had to change the SSID a 2nd time (b/c I mis-spelled it the first time). The SSID changed as it should, but the ethernet network name did not chnage after that. Is there a way to change the ethernet network name for the NETGEAR R6220 Router? and if not then how did the name get changed in the first place?Solved
