All things Cable Orbi
7 TopicsSatellite lights turning on constantly
I find that the satellite lights (on top) are constantly on. The good news is that most of the time, it is blue, but this is happening often. It can be especially annoying at night. And yes, it does flash amber occasionally. I will normally re-sync or reboot. I just did not know if this was an issue. Thoughts? Thanks!PlayStation keep switching too my orbis wifi while i'm playing
I have 3 orbi 2 are Rbs20 and 1 an rbw30 .2 orbi(which are the rbw and one of the rbs)connect to the rbs which it is 20/25 metres away and a wall from the rbw and 40 metres and a wall away from the rbs. They alaways connect very well but i have a problem with my ps4 because while i'm playing i crash from the match and the party and after 15 seconds it riconnects by himself on the orbi.(my ps4 is on a limbo zone because is one floor away from the rbw and 5/6 metres away from the rbs)CBK40 and Comcast/XFINITY issues
I just purchased a new CBK40. The installation went smoothly. I unplugged the XFinity modem I was renting and used the Netgear app which was a breeze. I should have known it was a little too easy. Immediately ran a speed test with wonderful results. 176 DL speeds which was better than I was getting with the rented modem/router. I retruned the equipment to XFinity and when I got home, immediately started having issues with both connectivitly and also speed. What I find odd is that since I have run a number of speed tests which all come out almost exactly the same. 33 DL and 23 UL. I have spent hours on the phone with Comcast and cannot get any explanaiton or answers. I am not normally one who buys into conspiricy theories, but it was immediatly after I returnred their equipment. I also know it could be somthing in my settings, but I cannot figure out what it is. Any feedback and or help would be appreciated. Thanks!Setting up
I have set up my system according to the app, but I am only getting a 35 mpbs wireless signal to my laptop downstairs. I have a satelite receiver net to my laptop about 20 feet from the wireless router. I have 100 mpbs coming into my modem. Is this the best Orbi can do? Is there something better?CBR40 now appears as "Supported" on Spectrum's List
Good news to Charter/Spectrum/Time Warner customers: The CBR40 modem/router now appears as "Supported" on Spectrum's List. Previously I had to tell Spectrum that my CBR40 was a CM700, which could potentially have negative side-effects, etc. The NETGEAR Orbi CBR40 is now "officially" supported, but it barely makes the list. Spectrum has the device incorrectly listed as a CBK40 (which is the name of the retail mesh combo system/kit. The modem is actually the CBR40). https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/compliant-modems-charter-network/
