Hello, I know my NAS is EOL, but I am running Raidar 6.9.3 on it, and I am hoping someone can help me figure out my problem. In January of this year, I configured my ReadyNAS to upload and sync with Amazon cloud drive successfully. Today, I went to double check my sync settings, and I noticed that the "Amazon Drive" button is now in an "OFF" position, which I did not set. When I try to enable it, I cannot move the button. All other cloud services are accessible for configuration. Interestingly, I also noticed that I am unable to check for updates from the System Overview landing page. An error message appears that states "Cannot connect. Communication error. Check your Internet connection, DNS Settings, or proxy settings." I feel the two problems are probably related. Now I know the major change I did not my home network is that I enabled IPv6 internally. But eth0 still has all its IPv4 settings. I also confirmed from a SSH Session that I can ping out to the internet on IPv4 and IPv6 successfully. I have also confirmed that name resolution is working for IPv4 and IPv6. My questions are: 1) Is this related to IPv6? doing a lookup of Amazon.ca returns only IPv4 addresses. 2) could someone share the URL that the "Check for Update" link connects to? If anyone can help, I would be very appreciative. Thank you Mark.1.2KViews0likes4Commentsfvamazon and CPU
Hello, an amazon share seem's to be very hungry of CPU. Does that top result mean that 99,3 % of one core is used, or 99,3 of the both combined ? I bought an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz. Is it the fastest I can use in a RDNP6610 6.7.1 T252 latest bios (thank's mdgm) model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 4654 root 20 0 254712 78936 10732 R 99.3 2.0 74:33.35 fvamazon I hope the fvamazon work is a kind of a sync control with a limited duration.2.3KViews0likes1CommentCan ReadyNAS NV+ Sync with Amazon Cloud Drive?
I have a tried and true ReadyNAS NV+ with latest firmware (4.1.15). Any way I can sync shares with my Amazon Drive with this unit? Model: ReadyNAS NV+ [X-RAID] Serial: 23J30375002A4 Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.15 [1.00a043] Memory: 256 MB [2.5-3-3-7]Solved4.4KViews0likes2CommentsAmazon Cloud Sync app
are there plans to give this app more options? It is a great concept and i am happy it exists, but i have no need (like many) for synchronization. I want to use the cloud for a one way backup from the readynas to the cloud. The fact it tries to shove everything back is crazy. I do however see that it is not a reaynas only problem--on my desktop the amazon software does the same thing, killing the drive it is linked to, unless i make it read only or something bizzare to get around it.SolvedAmazon Web Traffic Upon OS Upgrade Reboot
Hello, I completed the ReadyNAS OS 6.6.1 update and soon after rebooting and reviewing logs, there was an abundant amount of traffic talking to what appears to be Amazon over port 80 using the following IP addresses: 52.8.157.247 52.9.151.236 52.52.17.157 54.153.23.250 I was unsure of why my ReadyNAS was talking to Amazon, and if this is in fact Amazon, as there were many pages of log messages with these four IP addresses talking through port 80. I have a hunch that it may be AWS, but can never be too safe. Thanks.1.8KViews0likes1CommentNumber of files uploaded to Amazon does NOT match number on NAS share
I just "completed" a 5 day upload(sync) with Amazon. I sync'd two shares on NAS of the following sizes: 674GB ad 26GB. upon "completion" Amazon is showing the total size of my Amazon Cloud drive to be 669.7 GB, which is less than the expected 700GB (674+26=700). I have confirmed that the sync is NOT "stalled", by adding a new file to the ReadNAS, which was subsequently auto-uploaded to amazon within a few minutes. So... According to the raw numbers I am missing 30GB, which is NOT insignificant. According to AMazon, they do not compress the files, so the data in their cloud SHOULD equal the size of the source data on my NAS How do I figure out whats missing? Any suggestions?2.6KViews0likes2CommentsAmazon - Snapshots or full data?
Hi All, I recently turned on Amazon Cloud on my RN104 running 6.6.1. So far everything seems to be working corrently, though I aside from a cursory glance at the folder structure on Amazon I have no idea how much data has moved. I expect the total for the selected shares to be over 700GB, but amazon is not showing any size yet. Maybe once the transfer is done it will show? Anyway, I'm now concerned about Amazon being a two-way sync. Not so much that I would delete something on Amazon, but what if something breaks at amaazon and my files get deleted? or if amazon is hacked and my files get deleted? My understanding that in this siutation the sync would cause my local files on NAS to also get deleted. (please correct me if I'm wrong) Which brings to my real question. I admittedly do not fully understand snapshots. But am now wondering if instead of replicating the actual data to amazon, should I just be replicating the snapshots instead? Or both? I would sleep easier if netgear just made an option to set the amazon sync as one-way or two-way my choice.3.6KViews0likes6Comments
