Number of files uploaded to Amazon does NOT match number on NAS share
I just "completed" a 5 day upload(sync) with Amazon. I sync'd two shares on NAS of the following sizes: 674GB ad 26GB. upon "completion" Amazon is showing the total size of my Amazon Cloud drive to be 669.7 GB, which is less than the expected 700GB (674+26=700).
I have confirmed that the sync is NOT "stalled", by adding a new file to the ReadNAS, which was subsequently auto-uploaded to amazon within a few minutes.
So... According to the raw numbers I am missing 30GB, which is NOT insignificant.
According to AMazon, they do not compress the files, so the data in their cloud SHOULD equal the size of the source data on my NAS
How do I figure out whats missing? Any suggestions?

The two stores might not be using the same block size, which could make a difference if you have a lot of files. BTRFS file space is more complicated than it appears on the surface - there are other potential explanations for a mismatch. Do you have snapshots enabled on the shares?
I don't use Amazon Cloud - is there a way you can get a full directory listing of that they have (ideally fully qualified file names and the associated sizes). Then you could diff that listing with one from the NAS.

after a number of days things balanced out. Amazon shows 734.6GB and the NAS has 727.6. Pretty close and could be due to block size.
Files counts are Amazon 145,074 and Nas 145,081, again pretty close.
I'm OK with the sync at this point, just hoping they give us the ability to restrict it one-way sync at some point.
