Hello, I am looking for a router that would have the ability using either a browser or mobile app, that would allow me to restart the wi-fi on an individual device. Right now, the router I am using I have to turn off wi-fi for all devices in order to restart the wi-fi on 2 cameras that have issues (long story). So I would like to just be able to select the device that would "appear not online" and restart the wi-fi, avoiding having to do this for the entire wi-fi system. Right now doing that with these 2 cameras fixes the issue. i can only control the priority of internet on these cameras, but i want to control the wi-fi connection to it. Does any router in the Netgear (home) space allow this to happen?449Views0likes3CommentsCan't connect through NH App
I'm not able to connect to the router via the Nighthawk app (android version 2.24.0.2733). While connected to the network, I can login through routerlogin.net and by IP address of 192.168.1.1. But when I try to connect in the app, I get to the login screen and after entering admin/password, it says "your router is unreachable." I've reset the router multiple times both through app and unplugged. Router is currently on firmware V1.0.4.128_10.0.104. I've also removed and reinstalled app.1.2KViews0likes2CommentsXR500, Night Hawk app not allowing me to check my routers speeds
Hello, I haven't used the night hawk app in a while. I just opened it to see the exact amount of speed my router is getting from my network provider and I noticed that the app doesn't allow me to do a speed test anymore. my app and router are both up to and I'm using the app locally.2.2KViews0likes6CommentsModel RAX48 - problem with Nighthawk
When I open Nighthawk, I see that the app connects to the router. Then a few seconds later, I get the "Unable to Connect to Router" message. I do not know why this is happening, as it seems to be connected, but this message keeps popping up. Any advice is appreciated.986Views0likes1Commentnighthawk app can't modify settings when nighthawk cax80 modem is offline
My cable modem (with wifi router) CAX80 can connect to the internet over the coaxial cable. The Xfinity tech came over and set up the connection. I decided to take the modem offline in order to change the settings on the WiFi router. I prefer changing the WiFi settings before turning the WiFi on. I have the nighthawk app installed on my Pixel 6 - I was able to log on to the router using an ethernet cable - however, when i start changing the password and security questions, it will not save the new data. The error message says that the routerlogin.net/..... site is unreachable. I also tried logging into the router using my PC, with the same results. I can get to the page for changing the password. Saving the information does not work. As a last resort, I logged onto the router using WiFi. It asked for the serial number, but on the next page, I got an error: http://192.168.1.1/goform/PwdRecCheckserial?id=.... is unreachable. Do I really need the connection to the internet in order to access/modify the router settings ? Thanks.Solved1.8KViews0likes1CommentiPhone Nighthawk App sends security code to retired iphone & sends code via email that never arrives
My Netgear Nighthawk 9000 router is up-to-date and functional. I have been accessing the settings fields using routerlogin address via MS Edge. I installed the Nighthawk iPhone app on my iPhone 12 and signed in using my login and password. The app responded with a request to send a security code because it didn't recognize my iPhone. It sent the code to my retired iPhone. Retries brought the same outcome. Next, I tried the alternate method of sending the code via email. The app had my correct email address, but the code never arrived. Retries brought the same outcome. How does this get resolved? Thanks!782Views0likes1CommentNighthawk iPhone app can't see R7850, but I can access router on computer browser & iPhone Safari
I have a Nighthawk R7850 router. I recently upgraded to a Spectrum 1G modem. (I had Spectrum's 300 mbps modem and service before the upgrade.) The speed directly from the new modem is 1G. The speed from the Nighthawk reads a little under 300 mbps (direct connection or via wifi.) It was recommended that I reset the router, which usually resolves the problem. That's where I got into trouble. My speed via the router is still reading at less than 300 mbps. Also - I reset the router and set it up using a browser because I couldn't get the Nighthawk App to see it. I can connect to the router via my computer's browser or my iPhone's Safari browser and change or look at the settings. However, the Nighthawk app can't see the router. Plus, the app gets stuck in a loop. I sign in, attempt to go to the dashboard but it tries to locate the router, can't, and asks me to try again. It thinks I am not on the correct wifi but I am. I can't get to the app's settings or menu. I tried the Connect with Anywhere Access but it says there are no devices with Anywhere Access Enabled. I'm directed to go to the app's menu, but I can't because the app keeps searching for the router and will keep looping back to that screen. *I've tried all the trouble shooting advice listed on Netgear's support site (enable local network access on your iphone, check to see if you are logged into the guest network or have the wrong wifi connected, check the device connectivity, make certain bridge mode is not engaged, I've rebooted everything etc.) *I completely uninstalled the Nighthawk app from my cell phone and even from iCloud and reinstalled. * I reset the router and tried again. *I have the current version of router firmware and the app is up to date. *The wifi info from my iphone has an IP address of 192.168.1.4 and the router is 192.168.1.1 *iPhone 12 Pro iOS 15.5 *I noticed my A Security is not activated when I look at my router's settings on a browser Any ideas? I hope this makes sense. Thank you.1.1KViews0likes2Commentsnighthawk mesh 6 app for MacBook
Are there any app downloads for MacBooks from NetGear? I only saw apps for IPhone and IPad. Or should i just use the router address to configure my wifi. Which is better and more secure?
