powerline utility for Mac
Hi, I have had no problem using Netgear Powerline Utility 3.1.0.3. on my iMac using High Sierra. The issue will come when I replace my computer and start using Catalina. It will only accept 64 bit applications. There is an urgent need for Netgear Powerline Utility for Mac to be upgraded to 64 bit (currently 32 bit).

The Netgear Powerline Utility issues a message 'No device in the Network' when trying to locate the adapters. Previously this software worked on XAV5401 devices, then became unable to access them, and now can't access PL1000 V2. Please advise how I can diagnose and resolve the problem. I have a set of the PLP2000. One in the basment connected to my router and one on the third floor about 70 plus feet away. The 3 lights stay solid and when I connect my laptop to the one upstairs it works at my full internet or really close on speedtests, so that seems good. BTW, not crazy internet speeds but all I can get in my area is 120/10 but seems fast enough for me. Questions: How do I check/upgrade the firmware on these units - what utility? Should I get another set and put a couple or one more on the main floor - will this help? When I bring up Windows Genie, and click on the Powerline piece (I don't have anything else Netgear) I see the two Powerline adapters but the line in the middle is dotted with a lock that shows it's unlocked between them. Does this mean that the encryption is not on and should the line not be solid? When I click on the lock, I get another screen with a password set on the master unit and no password set on the slave unit. I did go through the encryption process with the button on the units and it worked based on the middle light lighting up on both as it was setting the encryption. I assume all is okay but the diagram seems to show that it's not locked/secure. If these lose power, do I need to turn encryption on again? I have my 5300 Asus ROG routers connected with these units and they all read okay as far as my Aimesh showing a wired connection to my Aimesh node all the way upstairs.
Adding PL1000 adapters to existing AV200 Network (xav1004, xav2001)
I have 3 existing AV200 adapters on my network and I just bought the compatible "PL1000" adapters. I have found many links and sometimes contradictions in how to add an adapter, but let's start with the basics: I have my PL1000 plugged in (and not in powersave mode) I go to the "main" AV200 adapter (or another) and press and hold the button for 2 (and more and less) seconds The power LED does not blink, why not? The instructions make it seem such a simple step and just says to try again. I have actually got it to blink a few times in about the 4 hours I tried, but then I couldn't do the same on the PL1000 adapter... I have the latest version of the Netgear powerline utility for my AV200 devices (https://kb.netgear.com/21606/Powerline-Universal-Utility-v3-1-0-4), it doesn't detect the new adapter. As I know the encryption key (as I set it up manually originally), I also tried an ethernet connection from the PL1000 to my computer, the utility still didn't detect it. There is little information on the Netgear site that is detailed and what is there tends to be outdated, there needs to be troubleshooting for why the led won't flash after 2 seconds, I can't believe that this is not documented and that is all that stops me getting it working! Apparently, this adapter has no software, not happy about that either. Its possible that Netgear powerline utility is not compatible with the software but I have the latest version and its not documented to support or not support the PL1000 adapter. I believe I have the latest AV200 firmware as the powerline utility says its up to date.
