CM600
2 TopicsHelp with ac1900 R7000 nighthawk, cm600 cable modem, and ac2200 wifi extender
Would it be possible to run an ethernet cable from my cm600 cable modem to set nighthawk ac1900 R7000. Then connect an ethernet cable from my ac1900 to my ac2200 wifi range extender for the wifi. Would i have to set my ac1900 in bridge mode? Also this is for the purpose of not only running an ethernet to the ac2200 but another one to my playstation 4 as well. The ac2200 has the option to flip it as an access point instead of a range extender. Therefore i would be able to connect my wifi devices to the ac2200. Basically it would go internet -> cm600 -> ac1900 ->lan cable to ps4, lan cable to ac2200. Sorry I am new to this. Is this completely redundant? I ask this because when i set my ac2200 as extender mode, it will screw up my LAN connection on my ps4 when anyone connects to the ac2200 for some reason. I dont know what settings i'd have to do to fix that.. just wondering if the setup i described above would work just as well.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsR6300-AC1750 Router doesn't connect to CM600
My R6300 Router will not connect to my new netgear CM600 cable modem. The internet light remains amber. I've done the appropriate power down/reboots on the modem and router with no success. I've done the MAC spoofing of the address of the computer that I used to set up the CM600 on the R6300 with no success. I can connect directly to the CM600 modem with a laptop and internet is fine (the modem is activated with my ISP). Firmware is up to date on all equipment. Additionally the router connects to my CM400 without issue and connected to a previous CM600 before its WAN port died. Does anyone have thoughts as to what I should try next to troubleshoot this?Solved7.7KViews0likes16Comments
