2 TopicsCan't connect to ReadyCLoud, but connects to Raidar...
Ive had my ReadyNAS 102 for a few years and its worked fine. I have it setup to link directly through ethernet from Rn102 to my iMac. I have the unit setup with Time Machine for my backups, and a month and half ago it said it had to do a new reboot of the unit and start a fresh Time Machine backup. As an aside, i have the new OS Sierra on my iMac. Long story short, the Time Machine can't make a new backup, so i thought i'll log into the ReadyCloud and wipe it and start with fresh drives. However now my computer doesn't see the RN102 through readycloud. The odd thing is is that RAIDAR can see the unit, but readycloud can't find/discover it. I'm thinking maybe the OS Sierra update did somethign wonky....honestly any recommendations are welcome. Thanks!4KViews0likes9CommentsExpand ReadNAS capacity by adding another NAS
Hi! I have a ReadyNAS NV2+, and am rapidly running out of storage space. I looked at buying a new 8-bay NAS (from various manufacturers such as QNap), but these see to be many times more expensive than the ReadyNAS 4-bay units. So, my question is this: can I buy a second ReadyNAS, and link it to my old one to expand the capacity? Ideally, I'll like to link the 2 NAS together to maintain a single volume (rather than having two separate NAS), and have them run in X-RAID2 mode to mitigate HDD failure. Any thoughts on how I can do this (or a more appropriate alternative solution) most welcome! Many thanks in advance!Solved3.3KViews0likes3Comments
