I have a Netgear FVS336Gv3 dual-WAN router. I am trying to configure it to connect via a bridge-mode Actiontec T3200 modem (Windstream DSL). Windstream informs me that this connection uses IPoE instead of PPPoE, and instructed me to configure the router in dynamic (DHCP) mode. For some reason, the router does not get a public IP address assigned to the WAN port when connected to this modem. I tested by connecting my laptop directly to the T3200 and the laptop is immediately assigned a public IP address (NOT a private address) and can access the internet. I have a Spectrum Business modem connected to the other WAN port of this router, and it obtains an address and works fine. Any guidance is appreciated.Solved8.3KViews0likes4CommentsHave wn3000rp and trying to use with dsl. doesn't recognize new network name
I have a WN3000RP range extender that I have used with cable broadband, and also with ATT Uverse. I recently moved to a rural area where my only choice is ATT dsl. I have the extender hard wired into the ATT Arris NVG589, and pressed the reset button, but it is still showing my old network name. Is there something special I need to do since i now have dsl?2KViews0likes1CommentGS724T with 2 DSL gateways
I have a client with 2 DSL circuits coming in. The goal is to use one for the backoffice/internal network and one for the GUEST network and access points in their restaurant. I'd like to run them both into my GS724T V4 switch but segregate them with VLANS. Is this the best way and what pitfalls do I need to look out for. I do not need any cross-VLAN communication. There is also a restaurant system that needs internet access for support but otherwise is all disconnected. My thought was, to again, setup a VLAN for the restaurant system but also include the uplink port from the GUEST DSL in it to give it the necessary internet access. Does this all sound like the right approach without being too complicated?2.3KViews0likes1Comment
