Backup to a Non-Netgear NAS
I have a ReadyNAS 526X and also have a Drobo 5N2. I would like to back up the ReadyNAS to the Drobo. They are both on the same network. I tried to set up a backup job from the 526X to the Drobo using the Windows NAS Timestamp protocol and designated the Drobo by its IP address. The ReadyNAS seemed to accept the settings but when I ran the backup job it failed and I got the following message. ackup Job Name: Drobo=David Backup Job Type: Full Protocol: cifs Backup Source: [David]/ Backup Destination: [remote:cifs]///10.0.1.3/David Backup Start Time: Tue Aug 29 2017 20:08:02 Backup Finish Time: Tue Aug 29 2017 20:08:07 Backup Status: Fail: Destination cannot be mounted on the system. Failed to mount remote path //10.0.1.3/David! My first question is, is it even possible to do this and if so, what am I doing wrong in my setup? Thanks for your help.
