I’m wondering if the Powerline extenders work for wired internet for a work from home setup? I would assume yes since they would be plugged into the modem with an Ethernet cable and then plugged into my meraki with another Ethernet cable but I’ve never tried one and I don’t want to spend the money if it won’t work. Thanks!473Views0likes2CommentsPowerline 1200s Not Communicating to Printer
About a year ago, our HP LaserJet Pro 400 M451's wifi adapter stopped working. We had two Powerline 1200s installed, 1 connected to the router and the other connected to the printer. Everything was fine until Tuesday when we had our internet service changed from Comcast to GloFiber. The only change was the router. All other devices are working off the wifi signal but we cannot get the printer to print. I've re-paired the adapters. I've restarted the printer several times. Since I wasn't the one that installed these originally, I'm not sure what else I need to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.333Views0likes1CommentPowerline PLP1200 5Ghz compatability?
Hello, I was getting low internet speeds with my PLP1200 so I upgraded my ISP service plan to 400 mbps. They sent me a modem and a router and I still get 30 mbps through this device while my Macbook air is sporting 230 mbps through its inbuilt wifi adapter. Does the PLP1200 not support 5 Ghz? I even connected a garbage Canakit wifi dongle with 2.4 GHz compatability and it was hitting around 30 mbps this is why I suspect the powerline adapter is not registering the internet with higher speed. Is there not a firmware for this device?1.5KViews0likes1CommentCompatibility between Netgear XAV1301 CPL 200 Mini and PL1000-100PES
Hi. I have a PLC network using some XAV1301 CPL200mini but I'd like to extend it using another CPL (I've been looking PL1000-100PES and PL1200). I'd like to use the faster one with the main router and the other CPL with some Pcs. Are those models compatible? If not, What CPL may I use? (I can't use wifi extenders because of my home distribution) ThanksSolved1.5KViews0likes1CommentHow to increase my Wifi signal strength with Powerline 1200
I asked for a WIFI Extender for Xmas and my son thought he was going one step better by buying the Powerline 1200. This only solves one or two device issues. I need a stronger WIFI signal for my phone and tablet, which do not have Ethernet capability. Can I add a wireless adapter or do I return this and get something else?1KViews0likes1CommentCan the 2 ports on the PLP2000 endpoint adapter "talk" directly to each other?
Am setting up a very upscale audio system that uses a server and streamer that don't do WiFi. So my preferred option is the buy the PLP2000 (disregard stated model number above, could not enter PLP2000), or wait 2 months for my electrician to route ethernet cable. Both server and streamer have a single ethernet port. Server needs the port for wireless control, updates/uploads, and connecting to the streamer. So the plan is the connect both to the endpoint adapter. My question is: can the signal go from the server to the streamer going only through the endpoint adapter that they'd both be connected to or would the signal go all the way through the router. (For the sake of purity of audio signal would prefer the former.)2.3KViews0likes4CommentsPick A Plug LED alternating between green and red
I just bought, installed, and set up security on a PL 1200. It seems to be working OK but the pick a plug LED is mostly green and turns red for about a second. This happens at a regular frequency. I can’t find anything that mentions this state. What does it mean?1.6KViews0likes1Comment
