Please help! I bought the router for my apartment, it is registered under my name and I want to use the genie app to control the wifi. I think one roommate has connected to the genie app and is messing with the network map and who has internet access. This is my router so I want to make sure that only I have the power to do that with the genie app. But I do not know how to do that. The password for the genie app is automatically the wifi password. I do not want to change the password on all of my roommates, I just want to be the only one in control of the router and who has access via the genie app. I understand this may be confusing but please answer the best you can, thank you!SolvedMy Media stops responding and AirPrint issue
I have a Mac Mini 2010 running Yosemite. I have enabled file sharing. When I try to run My Media from the buggy app (the option is not present in the browser version), the app hangs. It can find my Mac. When I try to simply change the file location of the music folder, or download folder, it hangs. I also bought this router so I could print directly from my iPhone to my Lexmark E360d laser printer. It prints to my Canon MX490 inkjet through AirPrint natively. It shows as printing, then times out, error connecting to printer. The printer is connected via USB, and prints properly from the Mac itself.4KViews0likes3CommentsGenie App Login with Updated Router
I just had to switch out my router fora new one. Same router model, but different version. Now i can't login through the Genie app. I get the error "login failed. Please re enter correct admin password for netgear router" I didn't change anything with the login info. So it's just "admin" and "password. I've reset the router and deleted and reinstalled the app twice. I'm on an iPhone 6 Router is a R6300 v.1 Former router was v.2 (I know) I appreciate any help. I recently changed my wifi password and since then i cant access the genie app on my iphone, ipad or the mac desktop app. I can access it through the browser window but cant through the app. Ive deleted the app and reinstalled and tried using the app again with no luck.
