I have created a user say "xyz" via "Account -> User -> New User" under the "user" group. I have copied a few files from local lan to the RN104 under the folder "xyz" created same as the username. When I access my RN104 via Readycloud then the folder "xyz" is not visible. I can only see following pre-defined folder : "Backup, Documents, Music, Pictures, Readydrop, Videos". The cloud user and local account user both have same email address. Can someone please tell me how to access user account folders via Readycloud? Hi, I have a readynas rn104 that is working fine. The reaycloudn client on my windows 8.1 works fine. I have installed the client on my win 7 pro and when I open the client all of the folders say opening with a blue circle. I am unable to sync my readydrop folder between this computer and the win 8.1 computer. Has anyone seen this behavior? It shows that I am logged in but I can't do anything with the interface. I have turned off my firewall with the same result, I have installed the latest java and adobe air updates, I have the latest flash player etc.3.6KViews0likes2CommentsRN 102 corrupt root
Hi there, I had two good RN 102 systems working (6.2.2). After a reboot of one of them, I could not reach that box from the readycloud. Intranet still worked. I tried to install an upgrade hoping that would fix the problem. So I tried 6.3.3. While the update was OK, the readycloud was still not working. I unchecked "readycloud" and rechecked it in the setting. Voila! it worked. Duhhh, should have done that with the 6.2.2... After working fine for a day, the box disappeared from the intranet. I read somewhere that going back to 6.2.3 was possible. After restart, when I was able to see the box again, I installed the upgrade 6.2.3. Now, I am screwed. Blinking start button. RAIDar tells me corrupt root. Here is what I tried (unsuccessfully): OS reinstall Factory reset New harddrive (with zero partition on it) New harddrive (with zero partition on it) in other RN 102, installed the 6.2.2 on it, initialized it then transferred that drive to broken box - nothing It can boot into telnet. Can I make a bootable USB? Thank for your help, IScrewedUp4.1KViews0likes3CommentsUltra 4 and Remote Control confusion
Hi I installed ReadyNAS Remote and sent an email invite but when I clicked on the corresponding email link I am redirected to install a product called ReadyCloud. After installing ReadyCloud and set up an account I get "Currently you have no registered devices". There doesnt seem to be any help from the software on what to do next. Is it meant to allow Windows Explorer access to the NAS shares at some point? Thanks3.6KViews0likes1CommentNew ReadyCLOUD client doesn't support old ReadyREMOTE?
So, when I upgraded my windows client with the new ReadyCLOUD client, it no longer shows my ReadyNAS Pro 2 for remote connection. I was using this to do remote administration, but no longer can as far as I can tell. Any ideas?4.2KViews0likes5CommentsReadyNAS 314 stuck on "Booting...[]"
I powered up my brand new ReadyNAS 314 with three functional 4TB WD Red HDDs (for a total of 12TB) about two hours ago. Did some work, watched some TV, and the screen still reads "Booting...[]". The fans are going all out. Can't access the unit via the ReadyCloud "Discover" service. I've had two prior ReadyNAS units (an NV+ and an Ultra 4) and can't remember the first boot process taking this long. What gives? Any ideas?5.4KViews0likes4CommentsReadyCloud Setup Broke Admin Management Interface
Model: RN314 Firmware: 6.0.8 RAIDar: 4.3.8 Users: I am the only person that has access to this. Web Browser Error code: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED – when attempting to connect to https://<nas_ip>/admin. I bought\setup my ReadyNAS a week ago, all has been working well, I had not installed any applications on the box, hadn’t setup any of the additional features apart from checking for updates and turning Anti-Virus on (which I did on the first day of setting the NAS up). Each day this week I have been: - Admin Management Interface (https://<nas_ip>/admin): connecting to view stats as well as setup\ run backups. - Windows Explorer (via UNC Path \\<nas_ip>\): copying data onto the NAS. Happy Camper! Today, I attempted to setup ReadyCloud, so clicked the link to implement it and (I’m pretty sure) it prompted me for password, at which stage I got called away, so closed the web browser and walked away. An hour or so after that, I went back to start implementing ReadyCloud again, so, as I have been all week, went to log into the Admin Management Interface (as above), to find out that I could no longer login, apparently my credentials were incorrect; however, I know that they are not. I try this over and over, ensuring that my Caps and Num Locks are not on. No joy. The page starts giving me the following: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. I try to recover my password, to which I am told that the secret question is incorrect, once again, I know that it is correct. So I start Googling to see how to reset the password, to read everyone saying to perform a Firmware Re-install. So I do this (twice) checking the LED Display on the front of the NAS to confirm that the Firmware Update happens and that the NAS boots successfully. It does and completes (whole process takes about 1 minute). Again, no joy. I then open a web browser and go to: https://readycloud.netgear.com, create an account and login. In here, I am able to discover my NAS on the Discover page (it shows me the NAS Name, Model, etc.). Also on this page is a ‘Manage’ button, when I click on this, it sends me to the same URL as the Admin Management Interface (as above), once again, the same web browser error. When I select the other menu’s (Manage, Access and Browse), those pages tell me ‘Currently you have no registered devices’. So my current status is: - I have Read\Write\Delete access to the contents of the NAS through Windows Explorer (as above). - I no longer access the Admin Management Interface (as above), tried various Web Browsers just in case. - RAIDar: is saying that everything is fine. Please help…4.3KViews0likes2Comments
