I want to block my TV from accessing internet but still allow LAN access
Hi, I have a few devices I want to block from accessing the Internet but still allow them local network access. I understand I can block specific port numbers or assign dummy DNS addresses on specific devices... all of which are decent workarounds. But is it possible to just simply tell my router to block WAN access for a specific device IP/MAC address or somthing similar? -Pete
Netgear R7800 ethernet port speed max 100Mbps
Is about a Nighthawk(R) X4S R7800 firmware version V1.0.2.40 Although a gigabith ethernet connection from the modem is connected to the wan port and a gigabit switchport is connected to ethernet LAN port 1, both show a maximum of 100Mb. Also the connected Gigabit switch port shows a maximum of 100Mb. (connecting other gigabit devices on the switcvh port show a 1Gbps speed) According to the specs , the ethernet ports of the R7800 are 1Gbps. Modello: Range Extender N300 WN3000RPv3 Versione software: V1.0.2.32 Premessa: ho comprato il prodotto in questione per collegare una stampante di rete che non disponeva di un modolo Wifi ma soltanto di una scheda LAN. Quindi il Range Extender mi serviva per "trasformare" il Wifi in LAN Con le prime versioni del software riuscivo a far funzionare la LAN quando il dispositivo era configurato in Access Point. Il che mi risultava comodo per collegare una stampante in rete non avendo a disposizione una LAN fisica ma collegandola via Wifi sfruttando appunto il RangeExtender. Quindi la mia configurazione era così composta: WifiPrincipale || \/ Range Extender --> Stampante collegata tramite LAN del RangeExtender || \/ Wifi_Ext Dagli ultimi aggiornamenti firmware riesco ad usare la LAN solo in modalità Access Point e quindi per "portare" il segnale e non per "riceverlo". Da molta noia perchè per ovviare al problema ho dovuto comprare un prodotto concorrente nonostante mi sia sempre trovato bene con NETGEAR e l'intera infrattura di rete dell'ufficio si basi proprio su prodotti NETGEAR. C'è qualche opzione avanzata e/o nascosta che non riesco a trovare? PS: il wifi EXT (ovvero quello "uscente") funziona correttamente in quanto sto scrivendo appunto usando il wifi del range extender.POE for GS305P
Can the GS305P switch be powered for its own internal functions by its LAN connection to a POE network switch? I need to split an ethernet connection to two to four desktop PC's, and have a client insisting on a ceiling-mounted data cable reel. There will not be any free outlets to plug in the switch. They are all being used by the actual PC's, montitors, etc. I'm trying to avoid installing a separate reel for each data connection.Losing Wireless Connectivity
Hello guys, So basically the first few days the Orbi system worked just fine. But now I'm losing the connection every 1/2 hrs. I'm connected via Lan-Cable to my PS4. I don't know if it has something to do with my issue but when I was only using the laptop and my iPhone everything worked fine. I did not change any settings etc. Once I lose connection the router is pulsing white and sometimes it's just solid white. Then it turns blue and everything works again. Any ideas how I could solve this? I don't want my router to lose connection. Especially when I'm playing online games.Oribi Need FW update to block internet access without killing Network access
Currently, if I pause the Internet for a device through the NETGEAR Genine it makes that select device unavailable to my local area network. I would like to request a firmware feature to block specific devices from going outside the local area network. I have many devices on my LAN that do not need Internet access, but still need to function on my LAN as a network device. Have WAN access should be a ON/OFF option for a device in the phone App, as well as the browser interface.
