Password Reset
2 TopicsUnable to log in to ReadyNAS (RN31600)
Hi, I am restructuring my NASes and I jut installed 6 new Seagate IronWolf 4TB drives into my ReadyNAS RN31600 nas and I have been locked out of the device as my password and the default password for this device are not recognised. The NAS is still "resyncing" the drives, is that the reason why I cannot log in. I thoght I saw a message flash past saying a factory reset was just done, but the default password does not work at all. Will I be able to log in once it has resynced the drives? Thank you in advance, Rick.Solved871Views0likes1CommentDoes OS Reinstall *REALLY* reset the Admin password?
I'm helping a nonprofit that has all their data locked up in a ReadyNAS NVX 4250... and no records on the recovery email or PW. I've used the front panel to reload the OS. RAIDar does find it, and shows that it is running an older OS version -- 4.2.5 BUT... I can't log in to the admin interface. Supposedly, an OS reinstall will reset the admin pw. But neither of the defaults work: password, netgear1. SO... does the Admin PW actually get reset on OS reinstall? Can I force an OS *upgrade* somehow (maybe using a USB memory stick and the front panel?) Any other ideas? Thanks, Pete2.6KViews0likes4Comments
